Dr. Wasfi Taher Saalih Kahwachi is Research Center Director at TIU–Erbil and an Assistant Professor of Statistics with 36+ years of academic leadership, previously serving as Dean, Department Head, and Vice President at Salahaddin University and TIU.

Mr. Shvan Amir

Shvan Amir is a researcher in Statistics, specializing in applied statistics, reliability analysis, and data science. He holds a Master’s degree  and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Salahaddin University–Erbil.

Dr. Huner Khayyat

Consultant

Dr. Huner Khayyat is an Assistant Professor and geospatial executive with over 20 years of experience across KRG ministries, NGOs, and the private sector, specializing in GIS, Remote Sensing, and climate change. He earned a Ph.D. with distinction via a joint program between Sapienza University of Rome and Salahaddin University–Erbil, alongside an M.Sc. with distinction and a Postgraduate Diploma from ITC, University of Twente. A co-founder of the Kurdistan Geographers Society, Dr. Khayyat has extensive expertise in academic teaching, research, and geospatial consulting, with 10+ peer-reviewed publications and a co-authored Springer Nature book, Environmental Remote Sensing and GIS in Iraq.
